Platelet Rich Plasma Injections
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is used to treat acute and chronic joint pain, muscle tears, ligament injury, etc. It involves the collection of the patient’s own blood which is spun in a centrifuge to isolate a high concentration of platelets rich fluid, called PRP. Platelets are cells that contain several clotting and growth factors that play key roles in tissue repair, without creating large amounts of inflammation. This fluid is injected into the area of injury or degeneration.
-
Prolotherapy Injections
Prolotherapy is a non-surgical regenerative injection technique that produces long term pain relief in acute and chronic joint conditions. It involves the injection of an irritant solution (dextrose and local anesthetic) at the site of injury to trigger the body’s release of growth factors, collagen deposition, allowing increased stability and repair damaged or degenerated ligaments, tendons, cartilage and other adjacent structures within the joint.
-
Trigger Point Injections
Trigger point injections treat muscle spasms, tension, pain, and muscle pain referral patterns like headaches, TOS, fibromyalgia, etc. It involves injection of a small amount of anesthetic into the muscle belly, trigger point, and areas of adhesions or excess tension to soothe and relax the muscle and return proper biomechanics and blood flow to the surrounding areas.
-
Neural Prolotherapy Injections
Neural Prolotherapy treats nerve pain by decreasing inflammation and disruptive pain signals of the small nerves that lie just under the skin, allowing repair of the outer covering of the nerve, decreasing inflammation of the nerve and the structures surrounding it. It involves a injection of dextrose, saline, procaine, B12, low dose steroid, or a combination along the cutaneous nerves.
